Department:Human ResourcesPre-Employment Screening:Criminal, IdentitySchedule:35h per week; Monday-Friday 9am - 5pmJob Function:General Administration, Human ResourcesPosition Description: As HR Assistant you will: + Serve as first point of contact for clients and visitors, answer general inquiries, and direct requests to the appropriate team members. + Manage complex calendars, arranging for meetings, interviews, and appointments. + Provide meeting and event support including coordinating logistics such as space reservations, catering, RSVP tracking, technology setup, etc. + Manage departmental communications and serve as primary contact for mail, copy, fax, and telephone administration. + Support completion of various time sensitive HR paperwork including employment verifications, I-9 processing, term extensions, and other hiring/employment documentation for students and staff. + Process financial transactions, pay invoices, and reconcile expenses. + Create and maintain electronic personnel files and records, ensuring compliance with file retention policies. + Provide general HR office management and support such as systems access, room reservation, office organization, inventory, and ordering supplies. + Serve as a backup approver for employee data changes and other transactions in HRIS. + Assist with HR-related projects and initiatives as needed. + Perform other administrative duties as required to support the department.
