Howmet is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resource Generalist Intern to join our HR team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. Responsibilities: + Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling. + Support onboarding and offboarding processes. + Maintain HR records and assist with compliance documentation. + Participate in employee engagement initiatives. + Help coordinate training and development programs. + Assist with HR policy updates. Required Qualifications: + Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. + Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 + Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment. + Effective written and verbal communication skills. + Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. + Ability to work independently. + Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. + Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. + Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. + This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items. Physical Demands / Working Conditions: + Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer. + Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally. + Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally. + Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards. + Travel by car occasionally.
