MITRE’s Human and Organizational Systems (HOS) department partners with federal agencies, private sector organizations, and universities to conduct research, and then develop and apply innovative solutions that align people, processes, and technology to achieve strategic outcomes. HOS engagements include short-term, targeted organizational change projects and long-term, large-scale, complex enterprise transformation programs. Job Responsibilities + Design and conduct organizational assessments that examine structure, knowledge-sharing, decision-making, management and leadership practices, and roles and responsibilities + Identify and tailor organizational change methodologies, frameworks, and tools to meet specific sponsor needs and context + Synthesize and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to develop data-driven recommended changes to organizational functions, structures, operating processes, or other organizational practices + Analyze the impact of a change on a variety of stakeholders + Develop strategies (e.g., organizational change management, communication, stakeholder engagement) and create evaluation plans to measure their effects on enterprise-wide transformation efforts + Design and facilitate meetings, workshops, and other in-person/hybrid/remote convenings to align and mobilize stakeholders towards a shared goal + Contribute to the development of HOS capabilities (i.e., frameworks, methods, tools) via direct project work and/or MITRE’s independent research program Basic Qualifications + Currently enrolled full-time and will be enrolled full-time the following semester in an accredited graduate degree-seeking program with a focus on Organization Development, Human Resources, Management Sciences, Business Innovation, Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration (MPA), Public Policy (MPP), Organizational Learning, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and/or other related disciplines. + Developing and delivering effective presentations + Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint + Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative data analysis and translating/communicating findings to inform decisions + Knowledge of how to apply data visualization techniques + Sustained excellence in academic performance. Preferred Qualifications + Experience, preferably, management consulting and/or government experience + Experience with organizational change management, organizational design, and systems thinking + Experience using virtual engagement tools (e.g., MURAL, Plectica, etc.) + Experience using qualitative analysis software (e.g., NVivo, Atlas.ti) + Experience using quantitative analysis software (e.g., STATA, SPSS, R, Minitab) + Experience with survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, MS Forms) + Experience with business innovation and human centered design methodologies + Demonstraed interest in serving the public This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s): None This requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s): None Work Location Type: Hybrid MITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
