HSE Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Lead to join our team for a significant project in the Rotterdam area. This project involves the construction and development of advanced facilities aimed at enhancing sustainable energy production. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance are met throughout the project's lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all HSE activities on-site, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies. Develop, implement, and monitor HSE plans, procedures, and programs to promote a safe working environment. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken. Provide HSE training and support to project staff and contractors, fostering a culture of safety and environmental awareness. Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement measures to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with project management and other stakeholders to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution. Prepare and present HSE reports and documentation to senior management and regulatory authorities.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles within the construction or energy sectors. In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices. Proven track record of successfully managing HSE programs on large-scale projects. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable. Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
