We are looking for an HR Specialist (HR Generalist) to provide the generalist support across defined areas of operational HR and act as a liaison between the HR community, managers, employees and other stakeholders at Air Products Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. 

This is a temporary cover and a great opportunity to "live and breathe" HR in a corporate set-up. Join Air Products!

As the HR Specialist, you will

Report to the My HR European Lead.Be part of the My HR Team that supports business operations which include approximately 5,500 employees across Europe. However, the CZ, SK & HU region supports around 200 employees. The team shares a lot of knowledge and simplifies processes.Operate within the jurisdiction of local employment law, legislation, collective labour agreements and associated policiesDeal with enquiries from employees and managers on policy/procedures/processes.Be involved in on-boarding, employee lifecycle transactions, absence management, employee relations (at individual employee level), wellbeing, terminations etc.Act as an expert in local legislation and ensure compliance with local employment related regulation and legislation. Evaluate and analyse consistency of HR practices at country levels (CZ, SK & HU) - identify organisational development needs and escalate emerging trends and risks.Maintain oversight of HR files and databases, prepare and analyse reports for management reporting and developmental purposes.Be an advocate of the MyHR team, promoting the visibility and effectiveness of the MyHR portal to maximise HR service levels.Work collaboratively within other HR teams on projects to continuously improve the employee experience, and identify and participate in local opportunities for continuous improvement and simplification.  

As the HR Specialist, you already are or have

Strong moral and ethical standardsExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsPrevious experience in operational HR (at least 3 years), ideally within a large organisation and with experience of working in a unionized environmentGeneral knowledge of employment law is essential (especially local - Czech and Slovak employment law)Broad understanding of how to interpret and apply HR policy, procedure and practice in a commercial settingExtensive experience of handling and managing ER casesProven experience of building effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, including Trade Unions and ability to negotiate and influenceCoaching capabilityData gathering and analytical capabilityStrong planning and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at one timeA self-starter who seeks to partner with and learn from others, with demonstrated oral and written communication skillsCareful attention to detail, ability to listen and to resolve conflictAbility to grasp commercial issues and balance a positive employee culture with business needsA focus on delivering results, with high levels of accuracy and speedStrong customer focusFluent in Czech/Slovak and English languages
