HR Specialist (parental leave cover)

Habitat for Humanity International is seeking an HR Specialist to play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our HR functions.
Please note, that this position is parental leave cover and is to be based in Bratislava, Slovakia with 10% travel.
What would be your responsibilities?
• Manage all aspects of employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry and maintenance of employee records.
• Provide relevant documents to payroll and manage employee benefits.
• Advise on and ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
• Prepare personnel cost calculations for various grants.
• Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
• Support employee well-being initiatives.
• Coordinate health check-ups and serve as a point of contact for safety and security at workplace
• Oversee the background check process for new hires
• Research on current and future HR trends
What do we require?
• University degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
• Fluency in English and Slovak.
• Up to 5 years of relevant HR experience.
• Experience within an international NGO or development organization is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Slovak Labor Law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package.
The monthly gross pay starts at 1900 EUR / month (based on previous experience + benefits).
