Job Description

As Human Resources Generalist you will assist in the development of human resources policies, procedures and programs. You will support in the following functional areas: attendance, payroll, accurate recording keeping, employee relations, recruitment, health and safety among other human resources functions. The Human Resource Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the Company.

 

What you can look forward to as an HR Generalist:

Responsible for hourly/salary weekly payroll using PeopleSoft payroll system and ADP time keeping Administer hourly /salaried Greenshield and Canada Life plans (ie: new hires, changes, terminations, employee questions), and health and welfare plans including short and long-term disability  Maintain HRIS database and conduct recruitment for hourly positions, including sourcing candidates, postings, screenings, coordination of interviews with Clients, reference checks, preparing and extending offers On boarding of new hires including orientation, health & safety and compliance training Prepare training and documents for legal compliance; oversee WSIB claims management and return to work programs for employees Accurately process time sheets, balance manpower requests and requirements, maintaining personnel files including attendance, personal development & training and medical files Participate in the Social Committee and arrange charitable / employee events Assist other departments and team members as required

 

Your Profile as HR Generalist: 

Human Resources diploma/ Certificate or university degree  1-3 years’ experience in Human Resources  Strong work ethic, organized and detail oriented Strong Computer skills, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access Database  Excellent time management skills with an ability to multitask  Maintain regular, consistent attendance, and punctuality  Professional communication and leadership skills are essential
