Job Description
Gilead's HR Shared Services organization is seeking a true HR Data Analyst based in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will join a fast-paced HR Shared Services team responsible for the day-to-day management and global auditing operations for the Americas, APAC and EMEA regions. We are looking for a candidate who enjoys helping employees and business stakeholders find answers to their HR related questions and appreciates the importance of data quality and data delivery. A successful team member will be extremely analytical, detail oriented, flexible with continuous process/system changes, and possess a problem-solving mindset.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Data Auditing, Analysis, & Reporting:
Process and understand leaders, HR business partners and other stakeholder requests while simultaneously pulling relevant data from our systems or other sources to fulfill the request. Checking the accuracy of data, running appropriate analyses, drawing conclusions based on the data, distilling insights into a deliverable, and communicating findings to appropriate stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Collaboration:
Identify areas for improvement in HR processes and documentation. Partner with key stakeholders, including HRBPs and People Technology, to resolve data issues and support system integrations. Participate in ad hoc HR projects and lead efforts to standardize HR business processes for the Americas, APAC and EMEA regions
HR Support & Query Resolution:
Act as a primary escalation point for complex HR-related inquiries from employees, managers, and executives, ensuring global consistency and local applicability. Provide timely data related support for HR administrative processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, and terminations.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
Strong data analysis skills, including advanced excel skills such as pivot tables and v-lookups (preferred).
Ability to provide business analysis of data insights, data reporting and data analytics.
Experience documenting business processes in a visual format (MS Visio preferred) as well as writing. detailed business process documents for reference.
Experience leading business process improvement activities.
Possess a strong customer service orientation while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentially with each interaction.
Strong communication, organizational, collaboration, documentation, and presentation skills.
Innovation, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage confidential information.
Ability to prioritize workload to complete assigned deliverables within the allocated timeline.
Knowledge of HR policies, practices, procedures, laws, and system tools.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Degree and Nine Years Experience OR Associate's Degree and Seven Years Experience OR Bachelor's Degree and Five Years Experience OR Masters Degree and Three Years Experience
A minimum of four years of experience handling HR requests for EE Data administration or HRIS or prior professional experience in an HR Data Analyst role.
Ability to extract HR data, analyze, report, and present formally to business stakeholders.
Strong experience with HRIS, CRM, Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools, Data governance and quality.
Strong MS Excel (Pivot tables, lookups, formulas, VBA), Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Tableau or PowerBI experience
Prior working experience as a Business Analyst
Experience with Workday and ServiceNow
SPHR, PHR, or similar certification a plus
