Position Overview:
The HR Services Coordinator will provide support for various human resources functions within our university setting. This role will assist with benefits administration, recruitment operations, state of NJ HRIS data entry, and other HR functions in compliance with departmental guidelines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to providing superior HR services to university employees and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
This position will support a variety of core HR areas with a range of duties.
Benefits Administration:
First point of contact for benefits department with Health Benefits, Pension and Leaves of Absence. Organize and maintain all documentation related to leaves of absence in Labor Soft/ Personnel Management Information Systems (PMIS). Conduct internal auditing on a monthly/quarterly basis for state health benefits and pension eligibility and enrollment. Assist with process efficiency including but not limited to testing and troubleshooting of electronic processes. Generate reports and assist with audits to ensure compliance with state regulations.Recruitment Operations:
Provide recruitment support for part time job postings and onboarding. Assist with applicant tracking software tool, PageUp and ensure adherence to hiring protocols. Collaborate with recruitment team in support of new hire paperwork and other onboarding components.Departmental Administrative and Professional Support:
Assist with collection and processing of AFT union re-contracting packets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with collective bargaining agreements. Assist in maintaining a repository of contract templates and related documents. Serve as an initial point of contact for inquiries related to union re-contracting processes. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience:
0–2 years of relevant HR experience (internships and co-op experience are acceptable). Familiarity with HRIS systems and office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).Skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic understanding of benefits administration and recruitment processes is a plus.Requirements:
Note: Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education. Thirty (30) semester hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience.
Five (5) years of professional experience in different aspects of administration and business practices; including design and implementation of policy and procedures, vendor service contracts and improving and updating management practices.
OR
Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience.
