HR Operations Specialist

Alarm.com is looking for an exceptional HR Operations Specialist for Compliance, Policy, and Immigration to support operational and organizational effectiveness.  The ideal candidate will be well organized, have a high level of attention to detail and someone who enjoys rolling their sleeves up in a tight-knit and fast-paced environment.              

RESPONSIBILITIES

The HR Operations Specialist’s primary job responsibilities will include:

Advise HR management on compliance requirements, staying current on federal, state, and local regulations that impact HR practices, and maintaining compliance tracking tools to ensure adherence. Partner with the legal team to own and update the employee handbook, ensuring it remains accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with legal requirements through timely revisions. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit requests, as well as for the submission of annual federal reports. Act as a key contact for employees, addressing inquiries promptly and ensuring a positive and supportive experience. Collaborate with HR leadership and cross-functional teams on special projects as needed, providing expertise and support. Assist the HR Technology team with reporting needs for internal HR functions and staff. Lead HR department quality control initiatives, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all HR data. Work closely with operations teams across the organization to ensure effective processes and compliance within the public company environment. Support team with International HR initiatives Oversee the Immigration program at Alarm.com, collaborating with sponsored employees, external counsel, and internal Human Resources to ensure the timely and accurate completion of all immigration processes. Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the HR function.

REQUIREMENTS

4-year college degree in HR or related or equivalent combination of education and experience 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on HR operations, compliance, and quality control Experience with HRIS(Human Resource Information Systems) and familiarity HR technology tools Advanced knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment laws at the federal, state, and local levels Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex HR issues Expertise in employee relations, compensation, benefits, and performance management Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Client-focused and committed to providing a high level of service and support to both internal and external stakeholders
