First Look: 

The Arena Group is looking for a talented HR Operations Project Manager to help us take our People & HR strategy to new heights. If hired, you will play a key role in assisting, ideating, and/or executing our important year-round HR responsibilities such as benefit enrollment, performance management, leave reporting, and additional projects as assigned. You will also be tasked with being the “face of HR,” in our beautiful, newly launched Midtown Manhattan office. The ability to continually ensure a welcoming work environment is essential.

The Arena Group’s expected annualized base salary range for this position is currently $75,000 - $95,000 USD. Actual salaries will vary based on multiple factors including location, education, experience, and other factors permitted by law.  The listed salary range is but one component of The Arena Group’s total compensation and benefits available to its employees. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S., and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

What You’ll Do:

Serve as primary HR liaison for HRIS (ADP) reporting and payroll changes.

Ensure accurate data entry into HRIS and timely submission of corresponding paperwork.

Manage benefits administration including enrollments, QLEs, and terminations.

Assist with annual open enrollment planning and execution.Act as a liaison with various insurance carriers and foster effective relationships with client representatives.

Perform customer service functions by answering ad-hoc employee requests and questions related to HR/People programs, functions, and initiatives.

Complete I-9 related duties as assigned (including verifying approved I-9 documentation, and maintaining I-9 files).

Help execute seasonal HR responsibilities such as benefit enrollment, performance management, and leave reporting. 

Disseminate information and news such as policy changes, benefits updates, training, classification, and compensation updates, etc. to various teams across Arena.

Provide general administrative support such as arranging meetings, preparing reports/documents, and tracking deadlines with various leaders and stakeholders to create ease and efficiency within HR processes.

Assist with new hire orientation and employee termination processes for both on-site and remote employees.

Collaborate with all Arena leadership and personnel to ensure that team needs are met and employee engagement efforts are maintained. 

Assist in maintaining employee files and ensuring that personnel files are up-to-date.

Initiate front office and social programs for employees, and act as a cultural ambassador for Arena. 

Perform other related duties as assigned.


What You’ll Bring:

HRIS experience / proficiency (1-2 years experience, preferred).

A working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures (3-5 years experience, preferred).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Stellar organizational skills & attention to detail.

Outstanding time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and/or related software.
