About the Position:

The HR Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of HR professionals while implementing HR strategies, programs, and initiatives that support organizational objectives. This role serves as a key member of the HR leadership team and oversees daily operations across multiple HR functions.

Essential Job Functions:

Partner with the HR Director to develop and execute HR strategies, initiatives, policies, and procedures. Ensure operational excellence across HR functions through process optimization and standardization. Drive continuous improvement in HR service delivery and team performance. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Oversee the maintenance of HRIS systems. Ensure smooth execution of employee onboarding and offboarding processes. Monitor reception and front office operations. Serve as an escalation point for complex HR situations requiring specialized expertise. Guide the HR team in handling sensitive employee relations matters. Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Director. Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Performs other duties and projects assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervise and develop a team of HR professionals. Conduct regular 1:1s and team meetings to ensure alignment and clear communication. Create internal career advancement opportunities and development pathways. Identify skill gaps and develop targeted training initiatives. Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management to direct reports. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Mentor and guide HR operations staff in handling complex, sensitive, and escalated employee situations. Support HRBPs in managing employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree is required. Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) or Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification is required. 7+ years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in a management role is preferred.
