HR Leave of Absence Pay Advising Analyst

Analyzes, reviews documents and recommends process improvements within Human Resources Support Services Leave Of Absence Pay Advising. Responsible for providing specialized and analytical support for complex issues relating to employees pay and benefits while on a leave of absence, which includes Leave Of Absence (LOA) and Short Term Disability (STD) leave claims and ensuring compliance with federal, state, local regulatory leave and labor laws pertaining to leaves of absences. Provides consultation, technical advice, and expertise to management regarding Leave Of Absence Pay Advising support processes/workflows. Handles escalated issue resolution in leave management pay. Audits pay advising specialists output to ensure employees are paid within the guidelines of State and Federal legislative laws as well as company sponsored Leaves of Absence programs and policies, and adheres to Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) and leave plans, to ensure timely processing of pay while on a Leave of Absence (LOA). **Responsibilities** *This is a Remote Opportunity + Analyzes, reviews, and recommends changes that achieve standardized, streamlined, and effective processes. + Participates and leads projects with market representation and/or system team members to design, standardize, and implement processes and organizational changes. + Serves as a resource for LOA Pay Advising Specialists including LOA and STD Claims Coordinators and LOA Intake teams. + Point of contact for escalated timekeeping and pay advising issues; trains new team members; provides feedback on accuracy per the standard operating procedures, and communicates changes. + Performs validation and processes advanced payroll/timekeeping transactions where advanced security or knowledge is necessary and in escalated and sensitive areas. + Reviews and recommends process and procedure improvements to create efficiency and provide a better customer experience. + Conducts audits and reviews audit results to maintain accurate data. Identifies and documents issues that impact pay advising service level agreements and makes recommendations for improvements. + Performs outreach to markets/divisions for approval, clarification, or to provide training and redirection. Employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or a comparable combination of progressively responsible experience or education (three years minimum). + Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, ADA, STD programs, leave accrual plans and other applicable local, state and federal laws. + Strong customer service skills and ability to apply service recovery methodologies + Ability to apply knowledge of LOA and STD rules, policy and processes for complex pay related issues. + Understands processes and systems, can work with multiple systems simultaneously and accurate and quick data entry skills. + 2 years experience in Human Resources or Payroll + 1 year experience with disability/leave of absence claims preferred. + Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information and adhere to strict data privacy standards. + Comfortable working in a high-energy, quickly changing and demanding environment + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Highly skilled dealing with complex situations and processes **Pay Range** $26.51 - $38.44 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
