HR Intern
Job Title: HR Intern – Learning & Development and Internal Communications Job Location: Auburn Hills – PTC, MI, USA Employment Status: Part Time FLSA Status: Hourly Business: Battery & Charging Systems POSITION SUMMARY This position is located at BorgWarner’s Propulsion Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI. We are currently looking for a “proactive, creative, analytical & results driven” individual to join as a Human Resources Intern at our Propulsion Technical Center (PTC), Auburn Hills, MI. The intern must be able to work 20-30 hours a week while enrolled as a full-time student. This HR Intern will be given exposure to different areas of HR and will be presented with opportunities to contribute to HR projects, esp. in Learning & Development, Data Analytics, Optimizing Process and Procedures, Internal Communications and other HR activities as directed for HR function at our Battery and Charging business unit (BCS). KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist in training needs analysis and training evaluation. • Lead Learning Management System (LMS) administration for BCS, including access management, report out training completion progress and follow up through 100% completion etc. • Assist in planning and logistics for front-line manager trainings and functional trainings. • Assist in learning & development communications. • Assist Talent Director in managing the enrollment processes for corporate learning and development programs. • Assist in planning various business workshops (e.g., council/function meetings, summits, Be HEARD survey feedback action planning, Inclusion Equity and Diversity workshops/projects, listening session etc.) • Assist in crafting ppt slides, database management, data analysis, and business metrics reporting for HR KPIs • Assist in researching & modeling L&D solutions. • Assist in internal communications, such as drafting communications, video shooting and editing, publishing internal communications etc. • Take on ad-hoc assignments and projects as per business needs. • Report to Talent Director at BCS. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum Qualifications) • Undergraduate/Graduate full-time student attending an accredited university with major emphasis in Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics etc. • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Database Analysis.
