Overview of the opportunity
This is a highly visible position, serving as the primary contact for FHN Financial’s Human Resource needs. The HR Generalist provides proactive problem resolution, consultation, change management, and execution of HR related programs, services and reporting necessary to drive business unit objectives. The HR Generalist serves as FHN Financials subject matter expert in associate relations; recruiting and onboarding associates; HR program implementation; and consultation on HR policies and procedures. This role drives consistent policy interpretation and application of workplace policies. This role partners with other HR areas of expertise on a regular basis. What you will do
Engage as a trusted adviser and HR subject matter expert to coach associates and managers on work-related issues including performance management, interpretation of company policy, culture, and values. Resolves complex and unique employment related issues. Develop a thorough understanding of business unit practices and objectives in order to provide effective consultation to senior management on organizational issues. Implement HR related solutions to support the execution of business unit strategies. Collaborate with HR areas of expertise to provide timely, effective, and innovative solutions to business unit needs. Proactively ensure consistent application of company policies/procedures and compliance with federal/state laws and regulations. Serve as the primary carrier of HR related messages to the business unit and executes on HR related programs as needed. Partners with HR areas of expertise to support programs such as talent acquisition, benefits enrollment, deferred compensation enrollment, roll out of HR system changes, performance management, training and development needs, and compensation adjustments. Creates and manages regular reporting to senior leaders used in driving the business. Source, identify, and screening candidates for open positions. Facilitate on-boarding and orientation activities.What you need to bring to the table:
