HR Generalist

(ITC) is seeking an HR Generalist to join our growing HR team! The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will help run the department's daily functions, including employee relations, performance management, benefits, and enforcing company policies and practices. Responsibilities: + Main HR point of contact for all HR-related questions and concerns; monitor and promptly respond to HR email and phone line inquiries. + Answers questions from employees and managers regarding People Ops processes, policy guidance, and interpretation. + Provide excellent customer service support to internal and external customers; establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with management and all employees. + Administers and delivers new hire onboarding and employee recognition programs. + Assists HR Partners as needed on employee relations issues, including disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. + Respond to employee general benefits inquiries, including enrollments, plan changes, and contribution amounts. + Reconciles benefit invoices and administers leave requests. + Review and complete system background checks and employee eligibility verifications. + Partners with Payroll to complete payroll audits, payroll codes, and required communications. + Administers and implements ITC’s performance management platform. + Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies. + Ensures compliance with evolving federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. + Advises people partners on compliance concerns/issues in internal client organizations and acts as compliance point of contact for audits and reporting. + Performs other duties as assigned. Location: Hybrid in Vienna, VA Requirements + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. + Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including a strong understanding of Excel spreadsheets, formulas, and reporting. + Proficient with HRIS technology (preferably UKG/UltiPro) and the ability to quickly learn new HR systems and technology. + Excellent organizational and time management skills. + Ability to stay organized and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. + Solutions-oriented and proactive with a baseline understanding of when to escalate concerns. + Service-oriented mindset with a willingness to support all areas of human resources. Preferred: + A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required. + 3-5 years of human resource generalist experience required. + SHRM-CP and/or PHR certification preferred. + Prior experience with Government Contracting is preferred. + UKG/UltiPro experience is preferred. Physical Requirements: + Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. + Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. + Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
