Position Summary:

 

The HR Generalist will execute on a broad range of human resources services in support of business objectives and strategies, with the purpose of enhancing team member engagement, productivity, and growth of The Piada Group. Under the supervision of the VP of People Services, the HR Generalist will deliver on both administrative and strategic responsibilities, including, but not limited to, onboarding, talent management and development, HR compliance, company culture, and optimization of the full team member lifecycle experience.

 

Responsibilities

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Supports the VP of People Services with the design, development and implementation of strategic HR initiatives, programs, and processes Partner with team to support workforce planning needs by collaborating with field managers to understand skills and competencies required for positionsProvide an onboarding process that builds team member engagement and fosters an effective, smooth transition into the organization. Continually assess orientation and onboarding programs and processes, and recommendations for enhancementPartners on the annual Performance Management cycle, which may include team member communications, trainings, audits, analysis and timely follow-up is executed to ensure that all milestones occur according to the defined performance management timelinesProvides consultative services and handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, team members, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staffReviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certificationsPerforms routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and developmentAttends and participates in team member disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as neededMaintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment lawPerform other duties as assigned

  Education, Skills, & Abilities:

 Bachelor’s degree preferred with a concentration in human resources, organizational leadership or related field or a minimum of 1-3 years of comprehensive HR generalist experienceIntermediate knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including onboarding practices, team member relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment lawsAbility to work collaboratively and openly with staff at all levelsDetail and action-oriented with exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-taskExcellent communication skills both oral and writtenAbility to travel occasionallyMaintains confidentiality on HR matters, as appropriateAdvanced proficiency in MS Office applications; HRIS Experience, ADP a plusAbility to work calmly and effectively under pressureAbility to problem solve and think strategicallyExperience working in restaurant industry a plus
