Summary

We are actively recruiting for a seasoned HR Professional to support our Manufacturing Operations to be based at Corporate HQ in Salisbury, MD.  This Director of Human Resources is responsible for overseeing HR management and department operations to adhere to organizational policies and procedures. Duties include communicating between operations senior management and coordinating with HR management to ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations.  They will also be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the development and implementation of plans, policies, procedures and programs to assure the successful achievement of company goals and long term objectives. 

 

The salary range for this position is $143,000 - $215,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Acts as strategic business partner to Perdue Foods Manufacturing Operations leadership team.  Assists in planning, goal setting, development and execution of business strategic plans, and meeting people, product, planet and profitability goals. Ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures.  Implements new ideas/concepts to advance HR practices and efficiencies.  Works with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure that Compensation, Benefits, Wellness, Learning/Development and HRIS activities are supported.   Utilize HRIS and other tools (Power BI) to generate data to be used to analyze and develop action plans to improve staffing, retention and manpower. Lead, mentor and develop the HR team, fostering their professional development and growth. Maintain proficiency in all current employee related laws including ADA, FMLA, Sexual Harassment, Title VII etc. Ensures process controls are in place to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations. Participate in special projects as assigned.   Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree preferably in Business Administration/Human Resources with minimum of 12 years of increasing responsibility and at least 10 years in a multi-site manufacturing environment. 

 

The ideal candidate must also have:

Knowledge of employment law, OSHA, Immigration, ERISA, Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, and other laws and regulations Experience with Human Resource Information Systems. SAP HCM is a major plus Ability to travel 25% to other facilities Experience managing direct reports Experience Preferred

Masters Degree or SPHR certification.  HR Experience with a protein processor.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.  Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
