Description We are seeking an HR Coordinator to join our team in Malibu, California. This role is crucial in managing health and welfare plans, addressing employee inquiries, and aiding with recruitment processes. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity in our dynamic industry.
Responsibilities
• Manage health and welfare plans, including overseeing enrollments, modifications, and terminations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and correct deductions.
• Act as a primary point of contact for employees, responding to their inquiries and answering their questions promptly and in a detail-oriented manner.
• Handle I-9 forms, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain I-9 files systematically.
• Support with new employee background checks by submitting online investigation requests.
• Reconcile benefits statements accurately and promptly.
• Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, suggesting corrective actions where necessary.
• Aid in the process of employee terminations, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly.
• Assist in the preparation of the performance review process, ensuring all documents are ready and accurate.
• Help with the recruitment and interview process, keeping track of candidate statuses in HRIS and responding with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
• Schedule meetings and interviews as needed, ensuring all parties are informed and prepared.
• Perform clerical functions such as making photocopies, mailing, scanning, and emailing documents.
• File documents into the appropriate employee files in an organized and timely manner.
• Assist in preparing correspondence as required, ensuring all communication is accurate and detail-oriented.
• Prepare new employee files, ensuring all necessary paperwork is included and filed correctly.
• Process mail efficiently and accurately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, maintaining a flexible and proactive approach to all tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar HR Coordinator role
• Proficiency in using "About Time" software
• Experience with conducting background checks
• Knowledge of various benefit functions
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with processing paychecks TalentMatch®
