Southern Industrial is looking for a HR Coordinator for our corporate office in Raleigh, NC. Must have a high level of integrity in dealing with information of a confidential nature. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required. Travel may be required. This is an in office position. Overtime may be required at times.


 The HR Coordinator is a vital role supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate employee records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, and providing exceptional administrative support to our team and employees. This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced HR environment.

Distribute and monitor hiring related paperwork. Monitor all SIC pre-employment requirements. Register and provide employee support for online / web-based safety training. Initialize and activate all hires (ensure all data entered into HRIS system is accurate and correct) Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, duration, benefits, schedules, work location, and working conditions. Assist with new employee orientation schedules. Assist with data management for HR and Recruiting. Process and maintain motor vehicle records. Help with Processing Open Enrollment. Manage I9 process and audits. Manage craft VOE’s. HR event support. Proctor exams for NCCER. Ordering Swag. Compliance Training. Manage Pvault data entry. Backup for ETM. Must be able to read, write, speak and communicate effectively in English at all levels of
the organization. Maintain regular attendance and timeliness on a consistent basis. Conduct business and interactions with a positive attitude that projects the highest level
of professionalism. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements 

Associates Degree in business administration, safety or related field preferred. Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA (Health Information Portability & Accountability Act) preferred. Computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook, database management. Basic clerical skills to include data entry, report preparation, file maintenance, scheduling appointments, and preparing invoices/bills for payment. Strong interpersonal communication, attention to detail, organization, and follow-up skills. Must be able to travel.
