GovCIO is looking for a dynamic HR Administrator to join our HR Team to support a variety of HR functions. We're looking for a proactive team player to join us as we seek to grow our HR Team. As an HR Administrator, you will support and work closely with the HR Business Partners. You will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners. You will meet with Background Investigators and complete a variety of administrative duties to include maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents, and updating internal databases. Our ideal candidate has experience with HR procedures and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner. Ultimately, you will gain HR experience, and have opportunities for growth in a fast-paced work environment by supporting and improving all HR functions. Our HR Administrator position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. This position will be based out of Fairfax, VA and will require 2 days per week, Mondays and Tuesdays, in the office with remote work Wednesday thru Friday.

Responsibilities Assists with variety of human resources projectsMeets in person and virtually with background investigators to provide personnel informationCompletes paperwork for employment verificationsProvides clarification to employees on company policies and proceduresSupports HR Business Partners with administration tasking as neededAnswers employee’s queries about HR-related issuesMaintaining internal records, which may include preparing, issuing, and filing company and employee documentation.Responsible for managing employee leave requests.Responsible for processing EOI documentationResolve benefit related issues and respond to queries and requests in a timely manner.Assist with annual enrollment.Prepare benefit documentation for new hires.Review and process vendor invoices and tuition reimbursement Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

High School diploma with 2 - 5 years (or commensurate experience)At least 1 year of experience working in Human ResourcesBasic knowledge in the functional areas of human resources to include, benefits, leave of absences, employee relations, HRIS Systems, payroll, onboarding, offboarding, recruitment, and talent managementStrong MS Office experience (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) familiarity with MS SharePoint, Teams, and OneDriveExceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritize, multitask, time management and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal, verbal in person and phone, and email and written communication skillsAbility to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentialityAbility to provide a high level of customer service, must be approachable and helpfulWork experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant or relevant role



Preferred Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field and 1-3 years of experience in a similar roleHands-on experience with an HRIS system (ADP WorkForce Now) and an ATS (iCIMS)Experience working for a Government ContractorExperience with data collection and interpretationBasic knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and regulations Company Overview

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
