HPE Non-Stop System Engineer
In order to be considered the following is required:
Matric Diploma in Information Systems Technology or related fields CCNA or related certificate in Networks ITIL or Togaf Strong communication skills, (verbal and written), with emphasis on technical documentation and related topics Demonstrate system programming skills in: TACL. Experience with CLIM configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting, including both TCP/IP and Storage variants Experience with configuring and using NonStop Open System Services (OSS) Participation on IT projects as assigned, working closely with IT project managers, application developers and application support teams Working knowledge of NonStop SQL databases (both MX and MP) Experience with NonStop X server hardware Working knowledge of one or more of these third-party software products:         > Integrated Research (IR) Prognosis
        > XYPRO Xygate Security Suite
Knowledge of security and participation in audits to bring systems in compliance with PCI regulations Functional knowledge of office administration products Service Now, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio 4+ years of systems engineering experience, specific to the HPE NonStop (Tandem) platform (Not essential) Demonstrated expertise configuring Tandem subsystems, such as Spooler, Pathway, TCP/IP (including SSL / SSH), TMF, KMSF, EMS, Safeguard, VTC Strong communication skills, (verbal and written), with emphasis on technical documentation and related topics Driver’s license required and own transport Responsibilities:
Provide platform support (hardware, operating system and middleware) for NonStop (Tandem) servers Respond to system alerts and error messages to ensure continuous system availability Coordinate scheduled and non-scheduled (emergency break / fix) hardware changes with vendor hardware engineers, pursuant to rigorous change management procedures Plan changes, configure, monitor and troubleshoot the HPE NonStop Operating System and related middleware subsystems in response to changing requirements Collaborate with multiple teams – network, engineering, operations and applications – to ensure seamless installations, deployments and system upgrades Participate in off-hours and on-call support duties, which will periodically include overnight and weekend work Provide technical support, respond to queries, resolve and escalate issues within IT, business and the client If you would like to email your CV directly – please send it to [email protected]
