Associate/Senior Associate | Housing Disrepair | National Law Firm | Birmingham BCL Legal is delighted to be assisting a medium sized national law firm seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join its growing Housing Disrepair team based in Birmingham. This opportunity is offered on a full-time, permanent basis with flexible hybrid working options. Excellent salary and benefits are included. Genuine respect for work/life balance. The Role As an Associate/Senior Associate within the Housing Disrepair team, you will: · Join a well-established Asset Management team that handles housing condition claims on behalf of Social Landlords, including Registered Providers and Local Authorities. · Manage your own caseload of litigated housing disrepair claims, from pre-litigation stages through to trial. · Draft defences, witness statements, and prepare cases for trial, working closely with senior members of the team to achieve the best outcomes for clients. · Supervise Junior Solicitors and Paralegals, providing guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality case management. · Work with clients on a national scale, handling instructions across some of the largest national and regional frameworks. About You To be successful in your application for this Housing Disrepair Associate/Senior Associate vacancy, you will have: · Experience working within a Social Housing team, ideally with a focus on litigated claims for Registered Providers or Local Authorities. · A proven track record of managing claims to trial. · Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach to a diverse range of clients and professionals. · A real passion for the social housing sector and a commitment to delivering excellent service to clients. · The ability to multitask and manage a varied caseload efficiently. · Advocacy experience is an advantage but not essential.
