This individual will be responsible for making all guests feel welcome by providing excellent guest service and a comfortable environment in which uncompromising levels of cleanliness are maintained. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintains complete and current knowledge of: Housekeeping standards. All hotel facilities/services and local attractions/activities to respond to any guest inquiry. In house VIPs and groups Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance in accordance with our Dress Code Standards for uniformed associates. Report maintenance concerns to Housekeeping management. Assists other associates with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests. Fosters and promotes a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and employee morale. Anticipates guests’ needs, responds promptly and acknowledges all guests at all times. Promotes positive guest relations at all times. Assist with other routine tasks within Housekeeping Department as required. Performs all job functions, special projects and tasks as assigned. Maintains cleanliness of guest floors and corridors, removing any glasses, plates, paper etc. Check lamps/sconces for burned out bulbs and replace as necessary. Maintains cleanliness of mirrors and dust lamps and picture frames. Ensure lamp and telephone cords are neatly coiled. Vacuum all floors starting from the top and work down. Vacuum stairways. Sweep and mop all tile floors. Deliver linen and rollaway beds to guest rooms as required. Deliver guest requests as assigned. Collect all trash and remove to dumpster. Collect all linen and deliver to laundry. Maintain storage areas in a clean and orderly manner. Maintain utility vehicle and van. Perform other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Walking and standing (100%) Works indoors (70%); outdoors (30%) Works varied hours/days based on business need KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Ability to complete assigned areas in a timely manner and in accordance with IPC standards. Ability to work without direct supervision. Ability to ensure confidentiality of guest and hotel. Ability to focus attention to details. Ability to prioritize and organize work. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule according to the needs of the position and the demands of the business. Ability to exert physical effort in cleaning assigned areas, transporting linens to/from laundry, and transporting cleaning supplies. Drivers must possess a valid Maryland Driver’s License and be at least 18 years of age. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $15.50/Hr. - $15.50/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
