Job Description

The Environmental Services Technician I is responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment.

Job Duties

Performs duties while demonstrating working knowledge of the health care cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements, proper and safe chemical use, equipment handling, and labor-saving products for all items within the healthcare environment for which tasked with servicing.Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e., proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process, hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Reports any unsafe conditions and/or repairs needed in a timely manner, i.e., document EVS/Maintenance concerns such as stained ceiling tiles, paint, floor care, dispenser issues, etc.

Requirements

Demonstrates excellent communication skills that promote and maintain a high level of customer service and courteous relationships with team members, patients, visitors, and others.Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills while, at times, working in stressful conditions.Effectively use technology (computer, tablets, and other mobile devices) to complete assigned task and/or other functions as needed.High level of personal accountability and awareness around patient safety.

Preferred Requirements

1-2 years of Customer Service, 1-2 years of Hospitality, and 1-2 years of Environmental services experience.
