Responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned areas to efficiently and effectively maximize departmental resources. + Uses appropriate chemicals and methods safely to preform assigned tasks. + Responsible for daily duties of trash pick-up as assigned. + Cleans assigned areas which include but are not limited to: Resident rooms/apartments, public areas, offices, treatment rooms, and corridors. + Is trained and competent concerning contamination, infection control and universal precautions. + Respects confidentiality of information and resident rights. + Responsible for timely pick-up, completion and delivery of laundry to assigned areas, in a safe and sanitary manner. + Maintains clothing and linen storage areas as well as linen inventory as assigned. + Attends all mandatory and related in-services and staff meetings. + Assists in setting-up and breaking-down meeting rooms. + Maintains a professional manner when dealing with residents, families and other staff. + Collaborates with other departments to ensure current and future resident needs are met. + Performs job in safe manner, using proper body mechanics, follows facility procedure regarding injury on the job. + Responsible for the proper care of all equipment, supplies and financial assets involved in the performance of the job. Qualifications: In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: + High School diploma or GED preferred. Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprised of Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St Francis Hospital - Interquest.
