The role of the Hotel Manager

Provide leadership and management for all operational departments. Coordinates and manages the day to day operations of the hotel.  Assume responsibility of the General Manager/RVP in their absence. Oversees direct supervision of Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Security, Senior Spa Director, Director of Rooms, and Director of Engineering

General:

Due to an RVP managed hotel, ideal for a seasoned Hotel Manager. An inspirational leader that the team can learn and grow from.  F&B background helpful. Busy rooms operations with large suite component, long stays, and a high-volume Spa. Service & Product passionate to drive the guest experience through the product and service culture.  An experienced individual with the ability to strategize and execute capital improvements.Ability to connect with employees in a genuine and caring way. Ability to work and support a Diverse workforce and celebrate the differences.  An inclusive leader is critical.A strong eye for detail to lead hotel into renovation phasePresence throughout the hotel to build engagement with staff, residents and guests. 

People: 

Developer of people.  Ability to bring a group together with positivity, collaboration, honesty and support. Ability to attract and retain top talent. Focus and support of mid-management development.Commitment to Diversity/Inclusion/Belonging. Must be able to embrace and celebrate the differences in the hotel and community.  Visibility and support is critical.  Guest centric. Ability to drive the execution of the exceptional guest experience with an empathetic approach.

Product: 

Passion for innovation and strong eye for detail to maintain competitive edge and execute hotel renovation in 12-24 months. Establish strong relationships with repeat guests, ELITE guests, residents, VIPs and community leaders. Strong engineering understanding in a challenging building is key. A problem solver that can get to the root cause to implement proper short & long-term solutions.Ability to improve guest experience scores through employee engagement and standards consistency.

Profit

Works closely with all departments to drive top line revenues and manage profit margins.

Qualifications

The suitable candidate will have at least seven to ten years of hotel operations management experience and strong people leadership and communication skills.  Ideal candidate will have experience leading Food & Beverage Division.   The ability to work closely with the General Manager is required as well as managing the operational divisions of the hotel.
