Overview of the role
We are looking for TWO (2) Full-Time Hotel Maintenance Technicians.
The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance, service, and repair of equipment as assigned. This person is also responsible for participating in the preventative maintenance program, handling guest or residents’ requests, and other work orders as assigned. They are also responsible for performing the job in a safe and efficient manner and performing trade jobs, such as carpentry, painting, etc., as assigned.
What you need to have
High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical or vocational training is preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, repair, or facility management in a hotel or similar environment.Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry.Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic repair equipment.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with hotel staff and guests.Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.A sense of ownership for yourself, the hotel, and everything you do.What you’ll do
Perform daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on hotel systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.Respond to maintenance service requests in a timely manner, ensuring that guest complaints and maintenance issues are resolved efficiently.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in guest rooms, common areas, and hotel facilities.Conduct routine checks of building systems, such as boilers, fire safety systems, elevators, and security systems.Assist in maintaining the exterior of the hotel, including landscaping, parking areas, and lighting.Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to resolve maintenance issues impacting the guest experience.Maintain maintenance logs, documentation, and reports on repairs and preventive actions taken.Assist in maintaining the hotel's inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes, health, and safety regulations.Participate in emergency on-call rotation to address urgent after-hours maintenance issues.Interact with hotel guests to resolve maintenance issues in a professional and courteous manner that is aligned with Mainsail standardsComply with Mainsail Lodging and Development’s standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operationsOther necessary duties as assigned by reasonably assignedPhysical Demand
