Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is seeking a Hotel Assistant Manager to lead our Front Desk team and deliver exceptional hospitality to our guests. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual who inspires their team, ensures seamless operations, and upholds our commitment to service excellence. The ideal candidate is passionate about guest experiences, demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, and fosters a positive and supportive team culture.
What you will do
Manages the staff at the Front Desk. Interviews, trains and schedules the staff. Conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed.
Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.
Coordinates arrivals, departures and billing requirements with Sales and Catering Department. Blocks rooms for arrivals and ensures any discrepancies are resolved. Reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups.
Assures that all financial and credit procedures are followed. Follows up on credit problems with Director of Front Office and/or Credit Manager.
What you bring
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
The ability to multi-task on several assignments at once.
The ability to have strong communication skills between co-workers and guests.
The ability to operate computer equipment and a variety of systems.
College degree in hospitality or a related field prederred.
Two to three years previous experience in the rooms division.
Knowledge of various computer systems such as Opera, Givex, HOTSOS etc.
Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
