THE JOB:

As a Host in Jia, you will be responsible for setting the stage for an excellent guest experience by greeting guests in a courteous, timely, and professional manner in our Asian Fusion fine dining restaurant. By understanding our guests’ unique stories and needs, you will deliver WOW experiences that our guests will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us. 

THE STARTING RATE: $13.71/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Greet and engage with guests, smiling and hearing their stories as you assist them with their reservations and/or sit them at their table.  

Consistently provide a positive guest experience by maintaining the appearance of the front-of-house area to company standards 

Assist food servers, bus persons, and food runners as it relates to guest contact and table information

Maintain knowledge of scheduled daily activities and in‐house groups, daily house count, table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code of the restaurant

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility

Able to sit, stand, walk, climb, crawl, kneeling, crouching, balance etc. for extended periods

Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately

Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
