Host, Notch8 - Full Time
You are the beginning and the end of an exceptional guest experience at Notch8, located inside the iconic Castle in the City. As a Host, your role is to make our guests feel welcome the moment they step through the door.

What you will be doing:

Offering a professional, friendly, and proactive greeting, delivering engaging guest service from start to finishAssisting guests with menu selections in an informative, engaging, and helpful mannerSupporting your colleagues during service to ensure a smooth and consistent guest experience, including running food, refreshing beverages, and resetting tablesPossessing in-depth knowledge of the beverage list, menu items, preparation methods, and current promotionsAddressing guest concerns swiftly and graciously, offering remarkable solutions and always seeking to improveBeing attentive to guests’ dietary restrictions and allergies, ensuring seamless communication among the teamStaying up-to-date with loyalty program offerings and promotionsAdhering to all outlet policies, procedures, and service standardsFollowing safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beveragesPerforming other duties as assigned
Qualifications

To be successful in this role we ask that you have:

A service-focused personality with prior experience in a high-volume restaurant environment (preferred)Previous experience in luxury hotels or the service-based industry (ideal but not required).A genuine passion for food and beverageAbility to focus on guest needs while remaining calm, courteous, and professional at all times.Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsProfessional working proficiency in EnglishProven ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work cohesively as part of a team, while also working independently when necessaryA sense of urgency and a "Yes, yes, yes" mentality with a "Can do" attitudeHighly responsible, reliable, with impeccable grooming standards and professionalismKnowledge of wine, spirits, beer, cocktails, and specialty coffees (an asset)Valid Serving It Right CertificationFlexibility to work a fluctuating schedule, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and rotating shifts

Physical Aspects of the Position (include but are not limited to):

Constant standing and walking throughout the shiftFrequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and rampsOccasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.Occasional kneeling, pushing, and pulling
