Our client, an international architecture practice, is seeking a Temp Hospitality worker to assist their NYC team. Position is Monday - Friday onsite, 8:30am-5:30pm with 1 hour lunch. Temp duration is ongoing 2+ weeks.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate all food served in office on executive floor - including conference rooms and events.Ensure all conference rooms are clean and organized for meetings throughout the day.Setting up water pitchers and glasses in each room. Offering coffee/tea when needed.Monitoring conference room calendars to know when rooms should be re-set.High attention to detail for all conference room and café spaces.Supervising hospitality worker overseeing non-executive floor. Bringing them in to assist you when needed.Ensure office is organized for events. Occasional evening events (1-3 events per month).Handling all billing and expense filing for food.Purchasing snacks, coffee and milk for office.Assisting in loading and unloading dishwashers.Occasionally covering reception desk for short periods.Occasionally assisting facilities team when needed.Proactive in problem-solving to avoid issues before they happen.Identifying and notifying facilities team of necessary repairs and clean-ups to maintain visual quality of the office.Handles other special projects and related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Degree preferred1+ year of front desk experience in a professional/hospitality /hotel environmentExcellent customer service skills. Comfortable speaking with large groups.Moderate level of proficiency with Outlook, Word and Excel.Good problem-solving skills and sense of when to escalate issues to management.Ability to use good judgment and maintain confidentiality. Active listening skills and excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work collaboratively and to interact with all staff on different levels consistently with diplomacy and integrity.Able to receive constructive criticism for the staff and/or firm's needs.Able to prioritize and multitask with little supervision; also flexible in reprioritizing as needed.Able to work under pressure as demanded by the needs of the firmMaintain an optimistic attitude. No-job-too-small mentality.
