Position Overview

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and to create an atmosphere that provides continuity of quality patient care in the emergent hospital environment.  This is achieved by providing clear direction and expectations to the clinical and office staff regarding the functional areas in which they work.  Ensures all aspects of the hospital are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.

Essential Job Functions Multi-site AdministratorExperience with budget development and P & L managementProvide leadership, training, supervision, guidance and coaching for hospital employeesMay serve as the Patient Safety Officer for assigned facilities as granted authority by the Board of Directors and the Medical Executive Committee, to act in the best interest of patients and their care, to monitor and report, where necessary, patient incidents, serious events and infrastructure failuresConduct Root Cause Analyses (RCA) in conjunction with Patient Safety Committee to determine opportunities to mitigate future occurrences related to patient safety using proven techniques including PDCA; develop, monitor and track action plans to improve patient safetyWork closely with Business Development on hospital growth and business strategies within the marketEnsure the hospital is in compliance with all established policies and procedures; Federal, state and local regulations; and licensing and accreditation standardsHandle patient grievances with adherence to the Emerus values and the principals of patient privacy and security of Protected Health Information (PHI)Assume lead role during facility inspections by licensing and accrediting agenciesOversee all functional aspects of the hospital including Nursing, Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Front Office and DietaryParticipate in designated community outreach programs for implementation of initiatives related to the hospital’s Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)Development of corrective action plan for employee engagement and culture of safety survey’sAssume fiscal accountability through budgetary oversightComplete and communicate employee performance evaluations Other Job Functions Drive data provided to regional management through the use of clearly defined metricsMonitor facility quality indicators and develop resolution plans by working closely with regional and corporate functions such as safety and infection controlResponsible for the oversight of continued employee training requirements, safety and quality initiativesEnsure that the business office complies with all established policies, procedures and protocol in regard to the patient process, collections and customer serviceEnsure the facility is equipped with the appropriate supplies and materials in which to effectively deliver quality patient careWork closely with Human Resources regarding employee related issues, training, and staff development initiativesResponsible for ensuring all functional areas are fully staffed with continuous coverageParticipate in community outreach programsAttend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as requiredTravel to all facility locations as requiredPerform additional duties as assigned Basic Qualifications BSN, required; MSN, preferredCurrent state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions, requiredCurrent BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association, required; ENPC certification from ENA may be substituted for PALS certification3+ years of progressive management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferred5+ years nursing experience, preferredKnowledge of JCAHO or DNV standards, requiredCompletion of FEMA ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700, and ICS 800 within 60 days of hirePosition requires fluency in English; written and oral communication Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareRefer this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
