You are a Horizontal Directional Drill Operator with industry construction experience. You have knowledge of current construction work safe practices. In this role, you will assist in building telecommunications networks. You will also be responsible for performing directional boring around and/or on utilities for fiber installation projects. Essential Responsibilities:

Operate Vermeer-brand HDD equipment in accordance with company and industry standardsMaintain company equipment per service requirements and safety guidelinesExperience working on right of ways in winter conditionsCommunicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervisionInstall conduit, vaults, and cables when not operating equipment

Qualifications:

Must possess and maintain a clean driving record and valid driver's license appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven – CDLA preferredSuccessful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirementsCombination of work experience and / or technical training in an industry-related trade certification or education programWorking knowledge of health, safety and environmental protection practices and procedures as they apply to related construction processesStrong knowledge of construction documentsMust be able to track and communicate daily production and materials

Work Conditions:

Travel to various project sites throughout MT is requiredAble to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
