You are a Horizontal Directional Drill Locator with industry construction experience. You have knowledge of current construction work safe practices. Essential Responsibilities:

Provide HDD drill head location services for the HDD Operator around and/or on utilities for fiber installation projectsOperate HDD Locator equipment in accordance with company and industry standardsCommunicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervisorInstall conduit, vaults, and cable work when not locatingMaintain all equipment in good and safe working condition and report any findings to lead hand

Qualifications:

Must possess and maintain a clean driver’s abstract and valid full-driver's license appropriate to the requirements of the vehicle being driven – CDL preferredSuccessful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements2 years’ experience locating for a directional drill or combination of work experience and/or technical training in an industry-related trade certification or education programWorking knowledge of health, safety and environmental protection practices and proceduresStrong knowledge of construction documentsMust be able to track and communicate daily production and materials

Work Conditions:

Travel to various project sites throughout MT is requiredAble to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
