We are looking for an experienced and passionate Homeware Buyer to join our client at Truworths. The Homeware Buyer will be responsible for selecting and buying a range of homeware products that reflect the latest trends and meet the needs of our target market. The role requires strong analytical skills, a keen eye for design, and the ability to build relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best deals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role within the retail industry and a passion for homeware products.

Responsibilities:

Researching and identifying new homeware trends and products Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers Negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers Monitoring sales performance and stock levels to make informed buying decisions Collaborating with the merchandising team to create visually appealing displays Analyzing market data and sales trends to make strategic buying decisions Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Merchandising, Business, or a related field Minimum of 3 years experience in a homeware buying role within a retail industry Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills Excellent analytical and numerical skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and buying software Knowledge of homeware trends and products Good communication and presentation skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
