What You Will Bring To This Role:

The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the general condition of the property with regard to all aspects of basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and painting work. They complete other special projects assigned periodically by the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis, and participate in the preventative maintenance program for all building equipment and rooms.   The Engineering Supervisor must be able to train and supervise engineers, assist with scheduling, assist with performance management.   How You Will Be Rewarded: In exchange for your talent, you will be eligible for our comprehensive benefit package that includes: A chance to learn something new every day in a fun, friendly work environment! Health Benefits; Medical, Dental and Vision Paid Time Off Employee Assistance Program Company Paid Short Term Disability, Life Insurance and Accidental Death Affordable and Optional Long Term Disability and Supplemental Life Insurance Company Matched 401K Health Care Flexible Spending Account Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account Health Savings Account Legal Resources Associate Travel Discounts per Brand Guidelines Some of Your Responsibilities Would Be:   ·Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner. ·Participate in the preventative maintenance program for all building equipment and rooms. ·Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system:  change filters, clean coils, replace motors. ·Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment (i.e. boilers, chillers, HVAC-Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, electrical, etc.). ·Take required readings on equipment. ·Test cooling tower and record readings. ·Replace and program televisions as needed. ·Replace light switches, receptacles, light bulbs and fixtures. ·Perform furniture repair. ·Replace and repair pumps. ·Perform plumbing repairs (i.e. clogged drains, copper pipe, change washers, change handles, drain fittings, etc.).·Understand and be able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams. ·Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records. ·Perform and maintain work to local, state and federal codes. ·Test, clean and repair swimming pools and spas. ·Paint designated areas. ·Repair and finish sheet rock. ·Repair all types of wall coverings. ·Repair and program hotel electronic lock system.   Minimum Qualifications:

Essential: Minimum 1 year experience as a supervisor in an engineering department, preferentially in the hospitality industry.   Working knowledge of all electrical supplies and equipment. Knowledge of proper chemical handling and disposal. Working knowledge of: health codes electrical codes national/local fire codes local mechanical codes blue prints and wiring schematics power and hand tools, meters, etc. as it relates to the technical trades Good understanding of the English language. Good communication skills both written and verbal. Compute mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers) Ability to: interpret manufacturer's literature for installation, preparation, use and upkeep of various materials and products used throughout the property.  Must be willing to work a varied schedule that included nights, weekends, and holidays. Desirable: Previous hotel experience High school graduate or equivalent vocational training. Certification or completion of seminars for specialized training. Ability to perform basic carpentry skills.
Physical Abilities: Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds. Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 100 pounds. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
