Both rinks are equipped with custom scoreboards and time clocks visible from the ice as well as the stands. Hockey Official-Scorekeeper: + Accurately maintains scores and statistics for league hockey games. + Acts as an off-ice official. + Open to all interested persons 16 years of age and older. + Games last up to 90 minutes and are typically year-round, evenings, and weekends. + This position is designated as At-Will. Essential Functions Operates time clocks and score boards for hockey games. Maintains records of goals, assists, penalties, shots on net, and related items as required. (60%) Acts as an Off-Ice Official as described by USA Hockey Rule Book. (40%) Performs other duties as assigned. Total Percentage = 100% Requirements Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training Six months experience playing or coaching league hockey games, or related experience. Working knowledge of rules and regulations described in the USA Hockey Rule Book; basic math and statistics. Ability to record scores and related statistics; interpret and apply various rules and regulations; maintain good relations with coaches, parents, and players; display an attitude of cooperation and work harmoniously with all levels of City employees, the general public and other organizations; communicate effectively in the English language at a level necessary for efficient job performance; complete assignments in a timely fashion; understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations; maintain prompt and regular attendance; and perform all essential and marginal functions as assigned by an authorized employee, supervisor and/or manager with or without a reasonable accommodation. Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And Training One year experience coaching league hockey.
