We're looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative (HMO) to join our Transportation team based in Park Gate Motorway Compound, Fareham to carry out a variety of highway maintenance duties as instructed on a day-to-day basis to ensure the efficient running of the Area 3 network. Location: Park Gate Motorway Compound, Fareham

Contract: Permanent – Night Working (payment uplift in place)

Salary: £12.00 - £14.68 (depending on experience) plus benefits

 

Responsibilities

As HMO, you'll carry out highways maintenance duties as instructed. This will include winter maintenance activities when appropriate.

Your day to day will include:

Respond promptly to incidents on the network as instructed. Work in close co-operation with team members and subcontractors, contributing to the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment for both the network users and work team by ensuring compliance all H&S procedures. Carry out daily defect reports on vehicles and ensure vehicles are maintained in good order. Actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with general Health and Safety responsibilities as set out in the Health and Safety Management System.
