As part of the Camera Silicon Architecture team, you’ll help design innovative technology that allows each generation of Apple products to produce photos even more incredible than the last! You’ll collaborate with teams across Apple to explore, define and drive the development of next-generation camera silicon chipset architectures! The Apple Camera team is looking for a High Speed Link Validation Engineer in the Image Sensor Validation team. This engineer will have a critical impact on camera system link interface design.
**Description**
• Validate high speed interfaces and interoperability of image sensors to understand sensitivities, design tradeoffs, and to ensure the successful integration of the camera module into products • Develop methodologies, expand capabilities for protocol layer and physical layer validation • Interact with sensor vendors to ensure design requirements are validated thoroughly • Collaborate with system teams for interoperability validation with FPGA and SOC • Collaborate with cross functional teams to investigate protocol, signal integrity and power integrity issues • Collaborate with camera system engineers to understand requirements and opportunities for future high speed link feature development • Travel to vendor sites as required for implementation reviews
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field
+ Experience in one or more of the following programming languages: C/C++, Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages
**Key Qualifications**
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Proficient with electrical characterization tools, such as logic analyzers, VNA, TDR, oscilloscopes, or spectrum analyzers
+ Authored formal specification documents
+ Worked with product package, board design and analysis, signal integrity / power integrity analysis, jitter analysis, interoperability and lab/bench data correlation with simulation results
+ Developed software or hardware for validation platforms, and test automation
+ Supported design validation or characterization of image sensors interfaces
+ Familiar with EMI analysis (conducted/radiated, immunity/emission) on high speed interface
+ Knowledge of system level SERDES design and analysis methodologies. This includes understanding of transmitter and receiver equalization methods (including FFE, CTLE, DFE), CDR behaviors and modeling, link training algorithms and eye margining tool
+ Validated one of these interface: CSI, MIPI, PCIe, USB, DisplayPort, SATA or HDMI

+ At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
