**Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with experience in operating a long reach excavator to efficiently pull sand out of a sand pit, allowing it to dry on the embankment before loading it into trucks. **Responsibilities** + Operate a long reach excavator to extract sand from a sand pit. + Ensure sand is properly dried on the embankment before loading. + Load dried sand into trucks for transportation. **Essential Skills** + Proven experience of at least 6 months operating a long reach excavator. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with a wheel loader. + Ability to load trucks with materials such as dirt. **Work Environment** The role requires working outdoors in a sand pit environment, handling heavy equipment. Operators must ensure proper safety gear is worn at all times. The job may involve varied shifts depending on project needs. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Glenwood, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.00/hr.
