Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our construction team in Effingham County. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating a variety of construction equipment, including dozers, excavators, front loaders, rollers, and more. The primary responsibility will be to operate a dozer to perform both rough and fine grading tasks.
ResponsibilitiesOperate construction equipment such as dozers, excavators, front loaders, rollers, etc.Perform rough and fine grading work using a dozer.Ensure equipment is operated safely and efficiently on construction sites.Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any issues.Collaborate with the construction team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.Use of GPS systems.Follow correct safety protocols and procedures on construction sites.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator.Proficiency in operating dozers, excavators, front loaders, rollers, and other construction equipment.Experience with GPS technology.Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures on construction sites.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsReading and understanding blueprints.Shooting and running grade.Experience operating skid steers, backhoes, track hoes, front end loaders, and dump trucks.General labor experience on construction sites.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
