Roles and Responsibilities
Assume responsibility for the Power Plant as required under Chapter 146 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.Support company fundamentals of Safety, Compliance, Quality and Cost Ensure that company and recognized industrial safe practices are followed at all timesEnsure employee safety and equipment audits are completed as scheduledConduct Hazard Audits and Inspections as assignedProvide direction and guidance to GE Operations Personnel to ensure the continued safe, efficient and compliant operation of assigned equipment and systems in accordance with all laws and regulationsMaintain continuous compliance with local, state and federal regulations as they relate to air quality, water quality and safetyEnsure equipment and systems are operated within normal parametersEnsure proper chemical conditions of steam generation, process cooling and wastewater systems are maintainedPlan, schedule, assign and monitor work assignments within the Power PlantCoordinate, schedule and support equipment inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair Manage contractors performing maintenance/inspection of utilities equipment and systemsEnsure logs and records are properly maintained and filed to demonstrate regulatory compliance at all timesPrepare reports, payroll, etc. as directedPerform other duties as assignedAdditional responsibilities may be added to meet the business needs.Required Qualifications
Commonwealth of Massachusetts Second Class Engineers LicenseBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Boiler Operations experience + minimum of 3 years Facilities Management experience
