Healthwave Coordinator
Shift and status Casual, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., variable days and weekends. Job Summary Assist in the coordination and management of the daily operations of Employer Services and Healthwave. Responsible for planning and coordinating HealthWave activities and employer relations. Promote Lakeland Care as a resource and provider of health management programs for business and industry clients. Essential Functions Plan, coordinate and deliver work-site health management programs for business and industry, including but not limited to: bio-metric health screens, health risk assessments, influenza vaccination programs, health fairs, First responder programs, CPR, Blood borne Pathogen and other health/wellness related programs. Participate in the planning of annual and long range goals for Lakeland Care Employer Services. These include strategies to promote growth, increase revenue, increase types of programs and services for the Employer Services market and contain/decrease operating costs.Perform basic and advanced phlebotomy procedures including venipuncture and capillary collections; EKGs; specimen processing and registration functions. Utilizes standard venipuncture techniques to perform blood specimens’ collections. Adhere to correct collection, process and transport protocols including positive patient identification. Perform patient registration and test ordering according to defined procedures.Oversee daily operations of HealthWave department. Provide feedback to leadership to increase productivity, improve quality of service, establish customer service criteria and decrease costs.Maintain HealthWave records. Prepare and maintain a variety of reports. Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and ROI. Collect, organize, and maintain the data and record keeping systems relative to HealthWave programs and business/industry clients.Coordinate, schedule, and assist with training staff for worksite health management programs. Review and submits payroll for department.Maintain cooperative working relationships with various hospital departments, Lakeland Care providers and employers to enhance smooth and efficient delivery of services and problem resolution.Act as Employer representative for local employers, assess employer needs, complaint resolution, and gain new clients for HealthWave.Committed to the continuous improvement of the patient experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service. Adhere to the organization’s published values.Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentBasic computer skills 6 months of relevant experience and/or successful completion of phlebotomy training program.1 year of relevant experience working within a health care environment or in worksite health or an applicable community outreach or health and wellness setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross within 90 days.PreferredAssociate’s degreeRegistered Nurse, State of Michigan upon hire.
