The Healthcare Facilities Engineer is responsible for providing general maintenance of services for the Hospital through mechanical maintenance and repairs, painting, carpentry, minor electrical work, and others relating to maintenance of the physical structure of the Hospital and hospital-owned buildings. Job Requirements Knowledge of /Skill/Ability to: On the job training. Working knowledge of boilers, fuel, steam systems, heating, air conditioning, central systems and basic knowledge of electrical equipment and systems. License/Certification: Valid Drivers License and automobile insurance Education and/or Experience: Experience in general maintenance work such as carpentry, painting, simple mechanical and electrical repairing preferred. Must have minimum of three years prior experience, preferably in a health care setting. Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance Lifting items over 50 pounds; repeated bending, squatting, stooping; prolonged standing and walking; climbing ladders, scaffolding; pushing and pulling movements using appropriate body mechanics; exposed to hazards resulting from use of electrical, electronic, mechanical equipment (machines and tools), power equipment, toxic chemicals, gases, dust, etc.
