The Clinical Sciences and Operations Senior Project Leader (CSO SR. PL) directs, supervises and manages full Clinical Science & Operations (CSO) global clinical projects and is accountable for ensuring quality deliverables on time and within budget.

Within Sanofi R&D department, Patient Informed Development & Health Value Translation (PID&HVT) team’s overarching objective is to integrate patients’ insights into R&D strategy making sure patient voice is understood and translated to support patient-centric development.

The PID&HVT team works with the key stakeholders across the organization (R&D and GBUs) to support clinical development, operational strategies and project decision-making aligned to our corporate strategy and agreed Therapeutic Areas (TA’s) strategies.

We leverage patient engagement activities and patient experience data (PED) for program design, clinical study management and clinical outcomes. We advance use of patient-centric digital and data tools. Our activities span across all therapeutic areas with a focus on building disease area patient strategies (PDS) and integrated patient journeys (IPJ) in support to portfolio prioritization and clinical trials design optimization (from First in Human to phase3). Our activities contribute to regulatory, benefit/risk and payer’s dossier submission.

Main Responsibilities:

Development with the medical and market access representatives of patient-informed Target Value Proposition (TVP) – responsible for the patient-informed section of the TVP

Development of a holistic Patient Disease Strategies (PDS) by indication, starting at M2 and updated during subsequent phases of development.  PDS is a critical deliverable that includes an in-depth analysis of PED, identification of patient-informed evidentiary gaps followed by an appropriate evidence generation plan (eg: patient surveys, panels, patient preference studies, etc) to support our products’ differentiation.  PDS includes sections related to the clinical outcomes, diversity, and recruitment/retention strategies.  The expected outcome is to lead the development of the PDS in collaboration with all relevant functions (eg: HEVA, medical, regulatory, COA leads, PEL leads, behavioral science experts, etc)  and then present the patient disease strategy to the GPT’s for validation and prioritization of the action plan.

Development of Integrated Patient Journeys (IPJ), starting at M2 up to POCC, and then handed over to the medical leads.   Development of the IPJ is a multifunction activity led by HVT lead with contribution from clinical development, medical, market access/HEVA, new project planning, corporate affairs, etc.  Main outcome of the IPJ’s development is to inform the development of the TPP, TVP, IEGP, PDS and to inform decision making of all governance bodies.

Development of the diversity goals and strategies, in a close collaboration with the diversity, and operational team members. That activity applies currently to the US based clinical development, but is expected to extend to other regions, eg: EU, Asia.  Main outcome is to inform the GPTs of the diversity targets in the US and to contribute to the development of the recruitment/retention strategies aiming at achieving those goals.

Leading cross-functional teams to develop PDS, IPJs and diversity strategies.

Experience in RW investigations is a plus.

Understanding of payers’ environment is a plus.

Medical/pharmacy/biology/chemistry education.
