Where You Will Work    

Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support our operations in finance, human resources, health and safety, information technology, planning, and more. Our flexible work program allows employees to work virtually as well as come together in person when needed at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix and/or one of our site locations. Employees can work remotely from most states in the U.S., with the exception of California, Connecticut, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma and South Carolina. Additional states may be excluded from remote work based on business factors. Should the position shift to in-person (office/site) work in the future, the company will offer relocation benefits at that time, so long as the position meets the established eligibility for these benefits. 

Description

With general supervision, partner with H&S Corporate and Site Leaders to lead the development, implementation, monitoring, and governance of programs and processes related to Health and Safety Organizational Development, H&S Employee Performance Management & H&S Career Development.

Leads the establishment, implementation, and coordination of comprehensive H&S Learning and Career Development Programs, including onboarding, mentoring, internships, competency-based learning paths, and performance management.Develops, implements, and monitors robust program deployment strategies and schedules, incorporating mechanisms to track progress, report status, and ensure timely execution.Leads and supports various projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing career development opportunities and improving overall program effectiveness. Ensures alignment with organizational strategy and goals. (Includes but not limited to, Intern Program, CDP Roadshows, H&S Performance Management, On-boarding and Bootcamp)Evaluates the effectiveness of H&S Learning and Career Development Programs by conducting thorough assessments, including observing onboarding and mentoring activities, conducting interviews, and gathering customer feedback. Utilizes insights to drive continuous improvement and enhance program quality.Partners with curriculum designers/developers to create and maintain sustainable, high-quality learning resources that effectively support program objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.Collaborates with the H&S Center of Excellence, HR, Talent Management, Technical Training, GSC, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and alignment of programs and processes across the organization. Shares best practices and fosters a culture of continuous learning and development.Performs other duties as requested, contributing to the overall success of the H&S Learning and Career Development ProgramsQualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree AND five (5) years Training, Health & Safety, or related field OR High School Diploma/GED AND nine (9) years of experience in program administration, project management, or a related fieldStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently, problem-solve, and adapt to changing prioritiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in design and implementation of Learning, Development, Health and Safety or Career Progression programs 

 

Criteria/Conditions:

Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol-free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as allowed by applicable state lawsTravel up to 50%

What We Offer You 

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $82,000-$113,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
