About the Opportunity 

We have an exciting opportunity for a HSE Advisor to join our National Operations line of business, the successful candidate will become part of a respected and ambitious team working in the Nuclear New Build Sector.

We are seeking a HSE Advisor to engage with and support our operational teams throughout the life cycle of the construction project.

The HSE Advisor will work directly with the Enterprise Asset Solutions project team, the wider supply chain and our client overlooking the governance of the Health and Safety across the project. This role involves promoting and influencing HSE behaviours and culture, adding value through innovation and best practice, whilst being accountable for ensuring the safe delivery of HSE excellence.

The role will be responsible for\:

•    Ensuring delivery meets the company and client requirements by determining safe methods of working, identifying hazards and unsafe conditions, and advise on written method statements, assist in producing risk assessments, Preparation and review of safety documentation. 
•    Carry out site safety inspections and audits and promote a strong safety culture throughout the workforce to improve behavioural safety.
•    Development of forward initiatives to address current environment, Learning from Experience and enable continuous improvement.
•    Ensure management and workforce are aware of Site Licensing Conditions, site requirements, HS&E legislation, environmental consents, impact assessments and codes of practice and any changes which may occur.
•    Engagement at all levels within the organisation – engineers to craft and at senior levels when appropriate.
•    Provide competent conventional safety advice.
•    Injury/incident reporting and investigation

Here’s What You’ll Need
 
•    NEBOSH General and/or Construction certificate.
•    Significant site, construction experience and strong IT skills.
•    Experience in incident investigation and reporting.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with people at all levels of an organisation.
•    Good knowledge of CDM.
•    UK Citizenship & able to obtain Security clearance.
•    Technical member of IOSH (minimum).
