Overview Responsible for all health professional recruiting efforts system-wide, including recruitment for health centers and hospital, represents Cherokee Nation recruiting from start to finish including advertising opportunities, sourcing, pre-screening candidates, on-site interview scheduling and facilitation, contract facilitation, and keeping current on physician and other health professional recruitment strategies and best practices. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Health, Science, Public Relations or Business related field; or graduate from an accredited nursing or other medical training program; no substitutions. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT An additional two (2) years' experience in business, marketing, public relations, or healthcare. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should have knowledge of and general use with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project), internet research, and database functionality. Use in all forms of communication with applicants of Spreadsheet and Word Processing software. Experience in communicating with applicants through modern technological sources such as Skype, text, email blasts, etc. required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Driver's license is required to travel to educational facilities, health centers/hospitals, conferences/events, or any site/location for recruiting purposes. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with physicians, medical staff, administration, and others at all levels of the organization. Ability to function independently and in a team environment. Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities and a diverse workload while achieving results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to problem-solve and generate creative solutions to recruitment challenges while working effectively with physicians, medical staff, administration, and others. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer-service focus and the ability to effectively influence internal and external customers. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG), or by the General Services Administration (GSA), or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
