The Health Information Technician maintains client record integrity through scanning, assembling, and retrieval of confidential health information. Performs daily tasks within the electronic health record and Health Information Management (HIM) tracking systems, including responding to requests for protected health information. Performs quality assurance reviews on agency documentation as needed. Frequent communication with staff within the agency and with other human service agencies.

 

Starting Salary: $37,482-Depending on Experience

 

Education/Experience Required:

High School Diploma required with business and computer emphasis. Associate's Degree is preferred. Experience related to handling confidential records and data entry is preferred. Experience in general computer use, agency-adopted applications, e-mail, electronic record handling, and any other technology available for Health Information Management purposes is required.
